One constant of the world we live in is change, and change and uncertainty may be difficult for some of us. You’ve just got used to one way when something different comes along!
It seems like we are being bombarded with information and new ideas. Sometimes these are different to what we were taught when we were younger, and what we believe whereas others are completely new. Sometimes it can feel that things have changed so much we have been left behind and we do not have as much clarity as we would like.
It can be a struggle to understand or know what to do, particularly with sudden, unexpected or sweeping changes. These can lead to feelings of being outside our comfort zone, of confusion and anxiety, not to mention a loss of confidence. We can help you to develop your uncertainty capability and build your resilience and positive outlook.
Whether overt or through unconscious bias we know that racism has no place in our society and recent events has reminded us of how deep racism is in our society and how it remains a lived experience for many in all aspects of our lives. Starting the conversation is never easy and we know that many people are reluctant to talk about race and their experiences for some of the reasons below:
Fear of the consequences – loss of employment, loss of friendship
Fear of being left to call out incentive comment and without allyship.
Fear, anxiety and discomfort of saying the wrong thing – how should you respond, what should you say
Fear of being defensive when talking about inequalities and racism
Fear of failing to understand and to recognize inequalities of opportunity at work
Our Coaching is there to provide a safe space where the issues/challenges you are experiencing can be discussed openly and candidly and where you can ask questions without judgement, whether it’s dealing with personal issues or working out how to respond to wider concerns, for example:
Dealing with change, new ideas and the impact of Covid-19 on your life and the “security and stability” of your work.
Helping working parents to communicate their own needs and set priorities to balance their work and home life and recharge.
understanding our differences and how they impact on our lives
